Serie A: Donyell Malen Scores Hat-Trick as Roma Rout Fiorentina 4-0

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Donyell Malen starred in AS Roma's victory, scoring a hat-trick that led I Giallorossi to a 4-0 rout of Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday.

Roma moved to the top of the standings, while Fiorentina sits at the bottom, according to the Lega Serie A website, as cited by Antara.

Roma dominated from the start. Rodrigo Mora threatened early with a long-range shot, but Fiorentina goalkeeper David de Gea kept it out.

Fiorentina responded with a chance for Marco Brescianini in the 12th minute, but Mile Svilar denied the effort.

Paulo Dybala nearly opened the scoring for Roma two minutes later; receiving a pass from Wesley, he unleashed a volley that went wide of the target.

Roma broke the deadlock in the 27th minute. Dybala penetrated the penalty area before laying the ball off to Malen.

Malen then turned and struck the ball home, beating De Gea.

Malen got his name on the scoresheet again seven minutes into the second half. Dybala once again played the creator, passing to Malen on the left flank.

Malen cut inside before firing a shot from a tight angle that De Gea failed to stop in the 52nd minute.

Eight minutes later, Malen completed his hat-trick. Dybala was the provider again, sending a pass from the right side of the penalty area.

Malen met the ball with a shot that found the back of the Fiorentina net, putting Roma 3-0 up and firmly in control.

Fiorentina tried to pull a goal back in the 71st minute. Moise Kean took a shot, but Svilar parried it away.

Roma capped off the goal fest in the 86th minute. Niccolò Pisilli pounced on a loose ball in front of the Fiorentina goal and tapped it in to make the score 4-0.
