TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three Indonesian musicians Lyodra, Amora Lemos, and Silet Open Up have teamed up to record the original soundtrack for the live-action adaptation of Moana, which is slated for theatrical release on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. The trio joined forces for "Sepanjang Jalan," the Indonesian rendition of the track "Along the Way," originally performed by Auli'i Cravalho, Catherine Laga'aia, and Dwayne Johnson.

Lyodra covers the segments originally sung by Auli'i Cravalho, who also serves as the film's executive producer and famously voiced Moana in the original animated feature. Meanwhile, Amora Lemos steps into the role of Catherine Laga'aia, who portrays Moana in the live-action film, while Silet Open Up performs the parts designated for Dwayne Johnson as Maui.

This project marks another collaboration between Lyodra and Disney Indonesia, following her performance of the Indonesian version of the song "Beyond" for Moana 2. Lyodra expressed her enthusiasm for participating in Disney’s musical journey through this project, remarking, "It feels even more real this time around because I am performing for a live-action film."

"The track is far more upbeat, offering a fresh experience after my previous work on a slower ballad style," she said. "Furthermore, this project is all the more exciting because I get to collaborate with Amora and Silet Open Up."

Amora Lemos shared her pride in joining the project, particularly given her long-standing admiration for the character of Moana. "Being a part of this project is truly an honor for me," she stated. "As a fan of the animated version, I feel a deep connection to Moana, who constantly strives to learn and is currently navigating her own path of wayfinding, much like finding my own identity," Amora added.

Silet Open Up revealed that their involvement in the project carries deep personal significance. "I am proud to be part of this original soundtrack because Moana’s journey resonates closely with my own life," they said. "As a musician, I also travel to introduce my hometown to a broader audience through art and music. Furthermore, I was given the opportunity to infuse this song with lyrical nuances typical of Eastern Indonesia, which I hope will make Moana’s spirit hit even closer to home for Indonesian listeners," they added.

The film Moana promises to take audiences on a brand-new adventure, now vividly reimagined in a live-action format. Starring newcomer Catherine Laga'aia as the titular character, the narrative follows the journey of the young heroine who answers the call of the ocean. For the first time, Moana ventures beyond the safety of the Motunui Island coral reefs alongside the legendary demigod Maui, played by Dwayne Johnson, on a mission to restore environmental balance and bring renewed hope to her people.

According to Allie Benedicto, Integrated Marketing Director for Emerging Southeast Asia at The Walt Disney Company, Moana is a timeless tale of courage, self-discovery, and navigating one's life path. She noted that the collaboration with Lyodra, Amora Lemos, and Silet Open Up is intended to bring this spirit to life for local audiences through distinct vocal characters that mirror the nation's cultural diversity.

"Through 'Sepanjang Jalan,' we hope the audience can forge a deeper connection with Moana's journey, inspiring them to follow their hearts and chase their dreams, wherever that path may lead," she concluded.
