TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian National Team striker Ragnar Oratmangoen has announced that he is injured and unable to join the Garuda squad for the last two matches in Group C of the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the Asian zone. "Due to my injury, I will not be able to join the team for the last two matches," he said via his Instagram account @0ratmangoen on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
Oratmangoen expressed his strong desire to represent the Garuda and be on the field in the matches against China and Japan. These matches are crucial for Indonesia to advance from the third round. However, he realizes that health is the top priority for players. "I will do everything in my power to make a full recovery next season. For now, I wish you success and continued belief," he said.
Indonesian National Team coach Patrick Kluivert has called up 32 players to represent the national team for the matches against China and Japan. The Indonesian National Team will have two important matches in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. The Garuda squad will host China at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta on June 5, 2025, and then visit Japan five days later.
Several players have been called up again, such as Asnawi Mangkualam, Stefano Lilipaly, Yakob Sayuri, and Yance Sayuri. Reza Arya Pratama, a 25-year-old PSM Makassar goalkeeper, was previously called to the national team in 2023 for friendly matches against Palestine, Argentina, and Turkmenistan.
Stefano Lilipaly was called up again to replace Ragnar Oratmangoen, who is out with an injury, as well as Hokky Caraka, who was cut from the squad. Lilipaly has 30 caps with three goals for the Indonesian national team and last played 19 minutes against Turkmenistan on September 8, 2023.
