Lagu ini merupakan hasil kerja sama dengan musisi Amerika, Dominic Fike. Sebagai bagian dari album solo perdananya yang berjudul Ruby, lagu ini menandai langkah baru Jennie dalam karier solonya. Album Ruby sendiri dijadwalkan rilis pada 7 Maret 2025.

Love Hangover bercerita tentang hubungan yang tidak sehat, di mana pasangan terus kembali satu sama lain meskipun mereka tahu seharusnya berpisah.
