TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated four state officials at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday, June 8, 2026. They are three leaders of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and a presidential special advisor.
The head of state today inaugurated Nanik S. Deyang as the new BGN chief, with two deputy heads, Trenggono and Agustina Arumsari. They replaced the three previous BGN leaders who were removed from their posts and later implicated in a series of corruption involving the free nutritious meal program.
Nanik, who previously served as Deputy Head of BGN, replaced Dadan Hindayana. Meanwhile, Trenggono and Agustina replaced Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung.
Meanwhile, the three former leaders are now detained by the Attorney General's Office.
In addition to swearing in the leaders of BGN, Prabowo also appointed the President of the Labor Party, Said Iqbal, as the President's Special Advisor for Labor and Worker Welfare. Said is also known as the President of the Indonesian Trade Union Confederation (KSPI).
Their oath-taking ceremony was led by President Prabowo.
"Are you ready to take the oath according to your respective religions?" Prabowo asked, to which the four officials acquiesced, pledging to abide by the laws and regulations and uphold ethical conduct in carrying out their respective duties.
The inauguration of the BGN leaders is based on Presidential Decree Number 18/M of 2026. Meanwhile, Said Iqbal was inaugurated based on Presidential Decree Number 58/P of 2026.
Their inauguration was witnessed by several officials, including Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka; Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan; State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi; as well as Deputy Minister for Manpower Afriansyah Noor and Head of the National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Alleviation Budiman Sudjatmiko.
Also present were Vice Chair of the People's Consultative Assembly Ahmad Muzani, Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) General Agus Subiyanto, Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin.
