TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Barcelona closed out their final home match of the season by defeating Real Betis 3-1 in Week 37 of the 2025/26 La Liga season at Camp Nou on Monday, May 18, 2026.
Raphinha scored twice, with Joao Cancelo also scoring for Barcelona. Real Betis briefly reduced the deficit through an Isco penalty.
This match was also Robert Lewandowski's final for Barcelona at Camp Nou. However, the Polish striker failed to find the net despite creating several chances.
Barcelona, already crowned champions, are firmly at the top of the table with 94 points from 37 matches. Meanwhile, Real Betis is guaranteed to finish fifth with 57 points, according to the official La Liga website.
Barcelona immediately dominated from the start. In the fourth minute, Raphinha threatened with a curling shot from outside the penalty area, but Betis goalkeeper Alvaro Valles was able to parry it.
Joao Cancelo then nearly scored with an impressive individual move from the left side of the Betis defense. However, he lost control of the ball as he was about to shoot.
Barcelona had another golden opportunity in the 16th minute through Fermin Lopez. However, his left-footed shot only hit the outside of the net.
Betis had a chance to score in the 24th minute through Abde Ezzalzouli. However, the referee disallowed the goal because Antony was already in an offside position during the attack.
Barcelona finally broke the deadlock in the 28th minute. Raphinha scored with a beautiful free kick that Valles couldn't reach. The score remained 1-0 until halftime.
After the break, Barcelona continued to dominate the match. Raphinha had another golden opportunity in the 57th minute after receiving a pass from Gavi, but his shot went wide.
The Blaugrana's second goal finally came in the 62nd minute. Hector Bellerin's mistake in the defensive area was exploited by Raphinha to steal the ball and fire into the bottom corner of the Betis goal.
Real Betis managed to reduce the deficit in the 69th minute through an Isco penalty. The referee pointed to the spot after Gavi was deemed to have committed a foul in the penalty area after reviewing the VAR.
Betis almost equalized through Antony's long-range shot, which went just wide. However, Barcelona secured the win in the 74th minute through Joao Cancelo's spectacular goal from outside the box.
The 3-1 scoreline held until the final whistle, and Barcelona successfully closed out their final home game of the season with a victory.
