TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Head of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Ministry's regulatory body and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, stated that PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk will be liquidating or closing 12-14 of its subsidiaries.
"The ones being liquidated are 12 or 14. I forgot, it will be checked later," said Dony when met after attending a Working Meeting with the House of Representatives Commission VI at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Monday, June 8, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
Dony ensured that the closure of Telkom's subsidiaries will not cause job terminations, as the employees will be consolidated with other Telkom subsidiaries. "For example, like fiber optic, they will be consolidated into several companies. The size will become larger, and the employees will join. There will be numerous mergers," said Dony.
PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk, in its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM), agreed to change two sets of commissioners as an effort to strengthen the leadership foundation in overseeing the transformation agenda and facing the dynamics of the digital industry.
Telkom's President Director, Dian Siswarini, stated that the decisions made in the AGM reflect the company's commitment to continually improve performance and create added value. Telkom also approved the distribution of cash dividends amounting to Rp21.9 trillion for the 2025 fiscal year.
Additionally, the shareholders also approved a plan for the company's buyback program with a value of up to Rp4 trillion.
On another occasion, together with Danantara, the SOE Ministry's regulatory body also agreed to expedite the streamlining process of the Telkom Group by reducing Telkom's 67 subsidiaries to 19 entities by the end of 2026, to strengthen its role as a national strategic holding in the digital sector.
Several priority programs continue to be accelerated, including the consolidation of State-Owned Enterprises' FiberCo, Data Center development, TowerCo, and InfraCo, as well as the restructuring of Telkom Group's licenses to support the transformation towards a more adaptive and globally competitive strategic holding.
Through this transformation, the SOE Ministry together with Danantara continues to drive governance strengthening, asset optimization, and national digital ecosystem consolidation to make the SOEs more agile, healthy, and capable of driving Indonesia's digital economy forward.
