Antam Gold Prices Plunge by Rp55,000 per Gram

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The price of gold from PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk., or Antam, dropped significantly in trading today, Monday, March 9, 2026. Antam's gold price plummeted by Rp55,000 per gram, continuing the previous day's decline.

According to the Logam Mulia website, today's gold price was recorded at Rp3,004,000 per gram, down from Rp3,059,000 per gram on Saturday. The gold price at the end of the week, on Saturday, March 7, rose by Rp35,000 compared to the previous price.

In early 2026, gold prices were observed to continue rising, reaching an all-time high of Rp3.16 million per gram on January 29, 2025. On January 31, 2026, the price of the precious metal plunged to Rp260,000 per gram.

The resale or buyback price for Antam gold bullion today fell by Rp65,000 to Rp2,757,000 per gram. Buyback transactions with a value above Rp10 million will be subject to income tax or Article 22 Income Tax of 1.5 percent.

This regulation aligns with the Amendment to Minister of Finance Regulation Number 112/PMK.03/2022 concerning Taxpayer Identification Numbers (NPWP) for individuals, business entities, and government agencies. This amendment also includes the use of the National Identification Number (NIK) as the NPWP. Article 22 Income Tax will be automatically deducted from the total value of the sales or buyback transaction.
