The massive actions protested President Donald Trump's controversial policies, including reciprocal tariffs, closure of several federal agencies, and immigrant deportations, cited from Antara. Around 600,000 people participated in the protests held in all 50 states in America, carrying the theme "Hands Off!"
A coalition of more than 150 groups, including civil rights organizations, labor unions, and veteran associations. Berlin and Frankfurt
As quoted from Anadolu, demonstrators protested what they called Trump's attack on freedom, democracy, and human rights in the city center of Berlin on Saturday, April 5, 2025. The protest was organized by the environmental movement Fridays for Future and activist group Campact as part of the global protest campaign with the hashtag #TeslaTakedown.
Berlin public broadcaster RBB reported that the protesters also accused Elon Musk of contributing to the decline of democratic norms and social systems in America. At least one person was temporarily detained after displaying provocative posters depicting Musk alongside Nazi figures giving Hitler-style salutes.
Similar sentiments were voiced in Frankfurt, where dozens of Americans and their supporters protested the Trump administration. The demonstrators demanded Trump's resignation and expressed concerns about his human rights policies, climate, and foreign relations. “Resistance is slowly forming against this inhumane, idiotic policy of Donald Trump,” said Timothy Kautz, the organizer of the protests in Frankfurt.
