TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto stated that the King of the Netherlands has agreed to return 30,000 Indonesian artifacts that were taken during the colonial era.
The agreement to return these artifacts was made when Prabowo met with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima in Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague, the Netherlands, on Friday, September 26, 2025.
"I believe it is the good ethics of the Netherlands to maintain a good relationship with us," said Prabowo upon arriving at the Halim Perdanakusumah Air Force Base, Jakarta, on September 27, 2025.
Prabowo mentioned that Queen Maxima, who is a finance expert, will visit Indonesia on November 25 of this year for discussions with Indonesian financial experts.
"How to assist the financially inexperienced citizens will be supported by the United Nations, and so on," stated Prabowo.
Prabowo stated that he was well-received during his visit to Huis ten Bosch Palace. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima welcomed him directly.
Prabowo, along with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, discussed various important issues, including strengthening bilateral relations in several strategic fields between the two countries.
