TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Thailand is once again hosting the 'Night at the Museum Festival' throughout December 2025. The festival offers an exciting after-hours adventure inspired by the Night at the Museum film. Visitors can learn and enjoy the cultural delights of Thailand after dark.
More than 50 museums and cultural spots across the country participate in the festival, according to Travel and Leisure. The museums will remain open until late at night, hosting special exhibitions, light installations, projection mapping shows, creative competitions, and even night markets.
Carrying the theme 'Bloom into the Night: Night at the Museum, where culture comes alive,' the main event will kick off on December 19 in Bangkok, but some interesting venues have already opened their doors earlier. The Wireless House at One Bangkok and Bangkok Art and Culture Centre will start their excitement on December 5-7.
Additionally, visitors can also enjoy exciting nights at the Museum Siam, Jim Thompson's House Museum, Silpakorn University Art Centre, Chulalongkorn University Natural History Museum, Siam Serpentarium, and many more.
Nighttime Events
Throughout the festival, the participating museums will present a variety of events, ranging from light installations and illuminations, where the participating museums will be decorated with bright lights and vibrant colors, accentuating their striking facades.
Projection mapping shows are planned for the entire exterior of the buildings and exhibition spaces.
During the festival, there will be a night market filled with local crafts, Thai street foods, and community markets.
Some museums and observatories will also hold star observation sessions and interactive educational programs. The festival will also feature live music and Thai cultural performances.
