Indonesia's IHSG Climbs 0.6% This Week as Market Cap Hits Rp14,888 Trillion

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia’s Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) gained 0.60 percent over the past week, closing at 8,099.3 on Friday, September 26, 2025, up from 8,051.1 the previous week.

Corporate Secretary of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad, said trading indicators largely finished in positive territory.

“The stock trading data at the IDX during September 22–26, 2025, closed mostly in the positive zone,” he noted in a written statement.

Stronger Trading Activity

Trading frequency rose 15.56 percent to 2.45 million transactions from 2.12 million a week earlier. Average daily transaction volume climbed 12.08 percent to 47.08 billion shares, compared with 42.00 billion previously.

Market capitalization also increased by 1.74 percent to Rp14,888 trillion from Rp14,632 trillion. Meanwhile, the average daily transaction value edged up 1.25 percent to Rp28.19 trillion from Rp27.84 trillion last week.

Foreign investors booked net purchases of Rp583.10 billion this week. However, year-to-date, foreign investors have recorded net sales totaling Rp53.60 trillion.

The exchange saw fresh listings this week, including one initial public offering (IPO), two bonds, and one sukuk.

At the start of the week, PT Merdeka Gold Resources Tbk (ticker: EMAS) listed its shares on the IDX Development Board. EMAS, a gold mining company, became the 23rd firm to list on the exchange in 2025, raising Rp4.5 trillion from its IPO.
