TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) noted a 3.74 percent increase in the movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) this week. BEI Corporate Secretary Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad stated that stock trading on the BEI closed with variations from April 21 to 25, 2025.
"The highest increase occurred in the BEI market capitalization by 3.97 percent to reach Rp11,561 trillion from Rp11,120 trillion the previous week," said Kautsar in a written statement quoted on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
On Friday, April 25, 2025, the IHSG closed at 6,678.91 from 6,438.26 at the end of the previous week. However, the average daily transaction frequency this week actually decreased by 4.88 percent to 1.11 million transactions, compared to 1.17 million transactions recorded the previous week.
Moreover, the average daily value traded on the BEI declined as the week progressed. The average daily transaction value for the week has decreased by 24.02 percent from Rp14.56 trillion the previous week to Rp11.06 trillion.
Additionally, the average daily IHSG transaction volume this week also decreased by 19.09 percent. From 22.54 billion shares the previous week, it became 18.23 billion shares this week.
On the other hand, according to Kautsar, foreign investors recorded a net purchase value of Rp173.18 billion. By 2025, foreign investors recorded net sales of Rp50.7 trillion.
