TEMPO.CO, Solo - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati made brief comments when approached by reporters after visiting the home of Indonesia's 7th President, Joko Widodo, in Sumber Village, Banjarsari District, Solo, Central Java, on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
Sri Mulyani was there to join the Eid festivities with Jokowi and his family.
Arriving alone around 02:30 PM WIB (Western Indonesia TIme), Sri Mulyani was greeted by residents and reporters who immediately called out her name as she exited her car. She responded with a wave.
After waiting for about 10 minutes in the transit room, she was allowed to meet Jokowi and his family inside the house. The meeting lasted only a few minutes.
Shortly after, Sri Mulyani came out of Jokowi's house and immediately got into her car. However, before closing the car door, Sri Mulyani briefly answered reporters' questions that her visit to Jokowi's house was just for a visit. "Just for a visit," she said shortly.
Since the first day of Eid, Monday, March 31, 2025, Jokowi's residence has never been empty of visitors, including several state officials
According to records, some state officials who visited Jokowi during the moment of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriyyah include the Chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Pratikno.
In addition, Muhadjir Effendy, who currently serves as the President's Special Advisor for Hajj Affairs, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto, and the Head of the Nusantara Capital City Authority Basuki Hadimuljono also visited Jokowi to join the festivity.
Despite not holding an Eid open house, Jokowi's residence was still visited by many people from various cities or regions. Hundreds of residents even lined up to meet and take photos with Jokowi.
