TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Pertamina's subholding PT Pertamina Patra Niaga said it has made changes to the cooperation scheme with private-owned gas stations regarding the purchase of imported fuel oil (BBM).
"At this stage, we are finally trying one-on-one negotiation with the private companies," said Acting Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, in Jakarta, Thursday, October 16, 2025.
Roberth said Pertamina Patra Niaga will facilitate the requests of each company, for example, base fuel. After reaching a deal, Roberth explained that Pertamina will conduct a tender to find suitable fuel suppliers to serve the requested specification.
"If the company agrees with the tender, we will then run a joint inspection," he said.
Regarding the changes in the cooperation scheme, Roberth ensures that Pertamina will no longer mix the fuel cargo.
There has been no deal reached with the companies thus far.
The private companies that are still engaging in talks with Pertamina are PT Vivo Energy Indonesia (Vivo) and PT Aneka Petroindo Raya (APR)-AKR Corporindo Tbk. (BP gas station operator).
These three companies had previously agreed to enter technical discussions for the fuel import cooperation. "Several private companies are in talks with the terms and conditions presented. We are trying to assist with supplies," said Roberth.
Roberth stated that the next stage of the discussion on BBM import cooperation is an agreement regarding declaration documents to maintain good corporate governance (GCG) and regulations, such as anti-monopoly declarations, money laundering, bribery, and others.
After reaching an agreement about the procurement winner, Pertamina and the three companies will discuss the commercial and joint inspection aspects.
"The next stage is the delivery of the agreed cargo around the third week of October," said Roberth.
Roberth emphasized that the process is carried out with the agreement of these three private companies, because the cargo delivery is in the same procurement and not separated.
On the other hand, Shell is unable to continue discussions as it needs to coordinate with the head office.
