TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia strongly condemns Israel’s rejection of the 15-point roadmap for implementing a comprehensive plan for the restoration of the Gaza Strip and calls it an attempt to thwart the implementation of international agreements.
According to the Spokesperson for the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vahd Nabyl A. Mulachela, Indonesia considers the roadmap to be a collective effort by the world community to ensure the recovery of life for the Palestinian people in Gaza.
"We reject any rejection that could derail this collective effort," Nabyl said at a media briefing in Jakarta on Thursday, as quoted by ANTARA.
He said the comprehensive plan, which is extensive and supported by many parties, aims to end the war and create stability for the Palestinian people and countries in the region.
Moreover, the Gaza recovery plan has received approval from the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) through Resolution 2803, which was passed in November 2025, he said. "Indonesia reminds us to return to the principle of compliance and commitment to full implementation of the comprehensive roadmap," Nabyl said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday expressed his rejection of the Gaza recovery plan drawn up by United States President Donald Trump and the Board of Peace (BoP).
"Israel rejects the 15-point document," Netanyahu said in a video statement after a cabinet meeting, as quoted by the Yedioth Ahronoth daily. "The Israeli army “will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed," he added.
Amid Israel's rejection, the Palestinian militant group Hamas on the same day declared its commitment to comply with the roadmap to continue the second phase of Donald Trump's Gaza peace plan even though Netanyahu rejected the plan.
In their statement, Hamas said it was seriously "engaging responsibly" in implementing the 15-point plan and drawing up a clear timetable for its implementation.
The process should also pave the way for the start of the reconstruction process in Gaza and for the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) to immediately exercise its authority, Hamas said.
