
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The head of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, announced that six companies will invest in the new capital project. These companies signed the investment agreements on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, and will operate in various sectors, ranging from culinary, hospitality, education, retail, and construction, to commercial and residential properties.
"The total investment value reaches Rp3.65 trillion," Basuki said in a written statement quoted by Tempo on Friday, May 23.
The new investments will add to the list of existing stakes in IKN development. As of April 2025, Basuki said, 42 companies have invested in the project, amounting to Rp62.08 trillion in investments.
Basuki also affirmed his commitment to providing the best service to the investors. "They used to face me as a minister, but I'm now a marketing officer. Whatever you need, my team will serve," said the former Minister of Public Works and Housing.
Here are the new IKN investors as revealed by the authority:
1. PT Solusi Harapan Nusantara
A culinary sector company known for its brands such as Bakoel Bamboe and Katta Coffee & Kitchen. The company will build a culinary center on approximately 1,800 square meters of land.
2. PT Makmur Berkah Hotel (MBH)
MBH is a subsidiary of the publicly listed company PT Makmur Berkah Amanda Tbk, which has managed international hotels such as Element by Westin and Four Points by Sheraton. The company will introduce a five-star hotel under the Marriott International network on approximately 2.04 hectares of land.
3. PT Australia Independent School (AIS) Nusantara
AIS will establish a school with a capacity of 750 students with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum on an area of approximately 7,900 square meters, with a planned building area of 10,000 square meters.
4. PT Maxi Nusantara Raya
PT Maxi Nusantara Raya is a local retail player in East Kalimantan with supermarket chains such as Maxi Swalayan and Maxi Lux. The company will build a modern supermarket complete with a food & beverage culinary zone on an area of approximately 0.21 hectares.
5. PT Kreasibeton Nusapersada
A Medan-based company with iconic projects such as JW Marriott Hotel Medan and the Medan-Kualanamu Toll Road will develop apartments, private offices, and a supermarket on an area of approximately 9,342 square meters.
6. PT Daya Mulia Turangga
This company will build an office and commercial areas on approximately 2.88 hectares of land.
