TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - United States President Donald Trump suggested that several countries in the Middle East have offered to send troops to Gaza to combat Hamas. Trump renewed his threat against Hamas in Palestine on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, amidst a fragile ceasefire in Gaza.

"Numerous of our NOW GREAT ALLIES in the Middle East, and areas surrounding the Middle East, have explicitly and strongly, with great enthusiasm, informed me that they would welcome the opportunity, at my request, to go into GAZA with a heavy force and ‘straighten our Hamas’ if Hamas continues to act badly, in violation of their agreement with us," Trump wrote on Truth Social on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, as reported by Al Jazeera.

While Trump did not specifically name any country offering to enter Gaza for conflict, he separately mentioned Indonesia as willing to assist the US in the region.

"I would like to thank the great and powerful country of Indonesia, and its wonderful leader, for all of the help they have shown and given to the Middle East, and to the USA," said Trump.

Indonesia and other countries have offered to send peacekeeping forces to restore security and stability in Gaza, though no country has stated a willingness to engage in direct conflict with Hamas.

Trump warned that the potential intervention remains a possibility: "The love and spirit for the Middle East has not been seen like this in a thousand years! It is a beautiful thing to behold! I told these countries, and Israel, ‘NOT YET!’ There is still hope that Hamas will do what is right. If they do not, an end to Hamas will be FAST, FURIOUS, & BRUTAL!"

Since the ceasefire began on October 10, Israel has killed nearly 100 Palestinian civilians.

Prabowo Pledges  20,000 Troops to Gaza

President Prabowo Subianto previously announced Indonesia's willingness to deploy 20,000 personnel to help secure peace in the Gaza region, Palestine. He made the commitment during the 80th United Nations General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

"We will continue to serve wherever peace needs guardians," Prabowo said, emphasizing that the declaration is not just rhetorical.

He claimed Indonesia's commitment to global peace has been proven in the field, noting that Indonesia is currently one of the largest contributors of UN peacekeeping troops. The head of state also affirmed Indonesia's willingness to make financial contributions to support global peace efforts.

Prabowo stressed that peace should be upheld and preserved not only in Gaza due to Israel's attacks but worldwide. "In Ukraine, Sudan, Libya, wherever peace needs to be upheld. We are ready, we will bear this burden," he stated.

He expressed complete trust in the UN, arguing that without the organization, no country can feel secure, especially given global pressures. "Food, energy, and water insecurity haunt many countries," he concluded.
