1. South Korea to Grant Visa-Free Entry for Indonesian Travelers

South Korea plans to provide visa-free entry to Indonesian travelers as part of an ambitious package of tourism measures to attract 30 million international visitors to Korea. These steps include loosening visa regulations, expanding regional airport routes, and cracking down on price fraud.

According to the Korea Times, Indonesian tourists will be granted visa-free entry as a trial for groups of three or more. Additionally, Chinese nationals and Southeast Asian visitors who have previously been to Korea will qualify for a five-year multiple-entry visa. Residents of major cities in those countries can apply for a 10-year visa.

In addition to Indonesia, Korea will also ease the automatic entry process for citizens of the European Union. Korea's automatic immigration gates, currently available to travelers from 18 countries, including Japan, Singapore, and Australia, will be expanded to citizens of these regions.

2. Prabowo Breaks Fast with Seven UAE Emirs During Official Visit

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto broke fast with United Arab Emirates leaders during this Ramadan. Prabowo along with the seven emirs, the term for the head of government in an emirate, broke their fast together in a bilateral meeting between Indonesia and the UAE at Qasr Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

The UAE, one of the Gulf countries neighboring Saudi Arabia, has seven emirates. According to the President's Media Team, all seven emirs were present at the meeting with Prabowo in the capital of the UAE.

Among these emirs is Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ), the Emir of Abu Dhabi who also serves as the President of the UAE.

"Alhamdulillah, in the blessed month of Ramadan, I had the opportunity to break fast with the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan," Prabowo said via Instagram social media.
