Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received an escort from F-16 fighter jets of the Royal Jordanian Air Force upon entering the airspace of Jordan. The Head of State arrived at Marka Military Airport, Amman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at around 8 p.m. local time.

According to the President's Secretariat, the air escort served as a symbol of honor from the Jordanian government to Prabowo and Indonesia. Similar escort was also conducted during Prabowo's visit to Jordan in April 2025.

Upon arrival at Marka Military Airport on Tuesday night, Prabowo was immediately welcomed by the Crown Prince of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto delivered Prabowo's directive in Washington, D.C., United States, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, local time.

"Yesterday, we reported to the President, and he asked us to study all possible risks," said Airlangga, as quoted in a video caption on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel.
