Playing on Court 2 of Glaz Arena, France, Jonatan, who was the sixth seed, dominated the first game. Despite initially trailing 0-4, he managed to turn the tables to 11-8 and proceeded to lead the scoring, ultimately winning the game with a score of 21-11.
In the second game, Jonatan fell behind at 6-10, and the gap widened to 8-13. He was able to level the score at 16-16, making the match intense. When leading at 19-18, Watanabe managed to score three consecutive points to win 19-21 and ultimately force a third game.
2. Indonesia's HM Sampoerna Acquires Rp500 Billion in Patriot Bonds
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk (HM Sampoerna) has announced the purchase of long-term debt securities from PT Danantara Investment Management Series A and B, totaling Rp500 billion.
The acquisition includes the Long-Term Debt Securities Program Offered Without Gradual Public Offering Danantara 2025 Phase I.
Andy Revianto, Secretary of HM Sampoerna, said the investment represents 1.76 percent of the company’s 2024 equity.
3. China Reaffirms Support for Indonesia's Whoosh High-Speed Rail Amid Debt Talks
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Chinese government has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the smooth operation of the Jakarta–Bandung high-speed rail, also known as Whoosh.
The statement came from Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Guo Jiakun amid ongoing discussions over the project’s debt restructuring led by Danantara Indonesia.
“China is ready to work with Indonesia to continue ensuring the high-quality operation of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway (HSR), maximizing the role of the project in boosting Indonesia's economic and social development and regional connectivity,” Guo said, according to the official website of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday, October 24, 2025.
