TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Saudi Arabian government has set the last day for Umrah visa holders to enter the kingdom on April 13. As quoted from Antara, they are required to leave Saudi Arabia by April 29, 2025.

This is a policy enforced by the Ministry of Interior to prepare for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage. Saudi Arabia also aims to ensure the safety of Hajj pilgrims during their religious journey.

During the period from April 29 to June 10, 2025, Saudi Arabia will suspend all Umrah visa issuance through the Nusuk application for Saudi citizens, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and other visa holders.

Mecca will also be closed to anyone not holding a Hajj visa starting from April 29, and they will not be allowed to enter or reside in Mecca from that date until the end of the Hajj season.

Entry restrictions to Mecca will also apply to Saudi citizens from April 23, 2025. Entry access will only be granted to specific permit holders issued by the authorities.

In addition to Umrah visa holders, exceptions to the entry restrictions will be given to those holding work permits in Mecca and owners of identity cards issued in the city of Mecca. Entry permits to Mecca for the 2025 Hajj season will be issued electronically.

The Saudi Ministry of Interior has requested all parties to comply with the policies implemented during the 1446 Hijri’s Hajj season to ensure the safety and security of this year's Hajj pilgrims.
