Presidential Office Chief Dudung Abdurachman Promises 24/7 Access to Reports

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Retired Army General Dudung Abdurachman as the Head of Presidential Staff Office (KSP) on Monday, April 27, 2026. Dudung replaces Muhammad Qodari who has been appointed as the Head of the Government Communication Bureau (Bakom) of the Indonesian Government.

After the inauguration held at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Dudung promised that under his leadership, the KSP would be open to serving the public. He views the KSP as a bridge between the people and the government. "So whatever the complaints (of the public), I will open 24-hour reports from the public," Dudung said.

He stated that this service also includes efforts to evaluate and monitor the programs of ministries and institutions. Dudung hopes that the KSP can collaborate with ministries and local governments to oversee President Prabowo's programs.

"So that there are no issues that are prioritized by the President and then bureaucratic problems occur, we will cut the bureaucracy later," the former Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army said.

Dudung requested assistance from the public and institutions to monitor suboptimal programs. "If there are any issues with KSP programs that do not run properly, then we will conduct sudden inspections and resolve them," he said.

In addition, Dudung expressed his gratitude to Prabowo after his inauguration. "I thank the President of the Republic of Indonesia for appointing me as the Head of Presidential Staff," he said.

At present, Dudung stated that he still holds the position of Special Advisor to the President of the Republic of Indonesia on National Defense. He has held this position since the beginning of Prabowo's administration. "Still holding two positions, there will soon be a replacement," he said.
