TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received Chinese Minister of State Security (MSS) Chen Yi Xin at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday to discuss improving security stability in Asia and the world.
The Cabinet Secretariat posted on its Instagram account (@sekretariat.kabinet) on Friday that the meeting took place in a warm atmosphere reflecting the good relations between Indonesia and China.
As reported by Antara, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said that, on that occasion, Chen expressed China's hope to work with friendly countries to maintain and enhance security and stability in Asia and around the world.
In response to China's expectations, President Prabowo reiterated Indonesia's stance on the importance of regional stability in promoting sustainable economic growth.
"Furthermore, President Prabowo welcomed the MSS's desire to strengthen cooperation for the benefit of both countries," said Teddy.
President Prabowo was accompanied at the meeting by M. Herindra, Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN); Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of State Secretary; and Teddy, Cabinet Secretary.
Enhancing good relations and cooperation between MSS and BIN is part of President Prabowo's administration's foreign policy. The administration's vision is to improve Indonesia's national security amidst the geopolitical dynamics of a multipolar order by playing an active role in various dimensions of international relations.
