"We consider this model as an example that we take pride in within the framework of our Islamic principles," said Muhammad.
The number of casualties continues to increase day by day. The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) continues to update the number of flood and landslide victims in these three regions.
The Head of Data, Information, and Disaster Communication Center of BNPB, Abdul Muhari, stated that the process of verifying and validating victim data has been tightened following discrepancies found in the online dashboard reports.
"The total number of verified and validated deaths is 770, and there are still 463 missing persons being searched for," Abdul Muhari said in an online press conference on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
BNPB detailed that in Aceh Province, the number of confirmed deaths is 277, while 193 are still missing. In North Sumatra, 299 people have been found dead, and 159 are still missing. As for West Sumatra, 194 have been reported dead, and 111 are still missing.
Abdul Muhari mentioned that the latest figures have been corrected from the reports received online. BNPB is also working with Iskandar Muda Regional Military Command, Aceh Regional Military Command, and Sultan Iskandar Muda Airbase to ensure optimal search-and-rescue operations for the victims. Search, rescue, and emergency response operations remain focused on the three provinces at the epicenter of the disaster, particularly Aceh.
