TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) will start selling train tickets for Eid Holiday 2026 on January 25. The initial sales will be for departures 10 days before Eid or March 11, 2026.
In the Yogyakarta Operational Area (Daop) 6, KAI urges the public to plan their annual homecoming trips early. The ticket sales will be carried out gradually until 10 days after Eid or April 1, 2026. This program was implemented to anticipate the surge in passengers during the annual exodus peak.
"The Eid ticket sales are carried out gradually according to the schedule that has been set. We urge the public to plan their trips early and buy tickets through official channels," said Feni Novida Saragih, Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta, on Friday, January 23, 2026.
Feni explained that the train ticket booking will start on January 25, 2026, for departure on March 11, 2026, and will continue daily. The last booking was made on February 15, 2026, for travel on April 1, 2026.
