TEMPO.CO, Medan - The North Sumatra Regional Police have thwarted the departure of 26 potential illegal Indonesian migrant workers to Malaysia. They were found in a shelter on Sedar Street, Tumpatan Village, Batangkuis District, Deliserdang Regency, North Sumatra.

They came from NTT (12 people), NTB (2), Aceh (7), Central Java (1), East Java (1), North Sumatra (2), and Riau (1). The disclosure was made on May 16, 2025, after receiving information and proceeding directly to the location.
