TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that the actual distribution of the Eid Allowance (THR) for state civil servants (ASN) as of March 10, 2026, reached Rp11.16 trillion. This figure is equivalent to 20.3 percent of the total THR budget allocated by the government of Rp55 trillion.
"As of March 10, it was Rp11 trillion," Purbaya stated when met at his office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
The Ministry of Finance, Purbaya stated, has prepared the full THR budget. However, some ministries and institutions have not yet submitted their budget disbursement requests to the Ministry of Finance. According to him, THR funds will be disbursed immediately after the application from the work unit is received and the documents are declared complete.
A total of Rp11.16 trillion in Eid allowances (THR) has been paid to 2,076,377 employees, including Rp6.1 trillion for civil servants (PNS) and Rp752.82 billion for government employees with work agreements (PPPK).
Furthermore, THR payments for members of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) reached Rp1.8 trillion for 461,119 personnel. THR payments for Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) soldiers amounted to Rp2.23 trillion for 452,874 personnel.
The government also distributed Rp153.42 billion in holiday allowances to 39,486 non-civil servant government employees (PPNPN). Overall, 8,279 ministerial and institutional work units have paid THR.
Meanwhile, holiday allowance payments for retirees as of March 9, 2026, had reached Rp11.44 trillion for 3,618,884 retirees, or approximately 94.63 percent of the total recipients.
In detail, PT Taspen distributed Rp10 trillion to 3,115,324 retirees, or approximately 94.02 percent of the total recipients. Meanwhile, PT Asabri distributed Rp1.44 trillion to 503,560 retirees, or approximately 99.13 percent of recipients.
THR payments for regional civil servants (ASN) as of March 9, 2026, were recorded at Rp127.6 billion for 16,848 employees. This distribution was made by only three regional governments out of a total of 546 regional governments in Indonesia.
The government allocated a total budget of Rp55 trillion for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday allowance. This represents an increase of approximately 10 percent compared to the previous year's budget of Rp49 trillion.
The budget is allocated for 2.4 million central ASN including TNI soldiers and Polri members amounting to Rp22.2 trillion, around 4.3 million regional ASN amounting to Rp20.2 trillion, and 3.8 million retirees amounting to Rp12.7 trillion.
