
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BCA) posted a net profit of Rp29.5 trillion in the first half of 2026, an increase of approximately 3.5 percent compared to Rp28.5 trillion in the same period last year. BCA President Director Hendra Lembong stated that the profit growth was supported by credit expansion, which increased 8 percent year-on-year to Rp1,036 trillion.
"This is the first time the company's credit portfolio has exceeded Rp1,000 trillion," Hendra said in a virtual press conference on BCA's First Half 2026 Performance Expo on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
Hendra stated that the performance growth in the first half of this year was supported by the implementation of the BCA Expoversary 2026 and the distribution of productive loans to various sectors.
BCA's loan distribution, particularly in the productive financing segment, grew 11 percent to Rp802 trillion. Corporate loans rose 13.6 percent to Rp513.4 trillion, while commercial and small and medium enterprise (SME) loans increased 6.6 percent to Rp288.5 trillion.
BCA recorded a 10.2 percent increase in current account and savings accounts (CASA) to Rp1,082 trillion. Meanwhile, third-party funds (TPF) grew 7.9 percent to Rp1,284 trillion. CASA accounts accounted for 84.3 percent of total TPF, maintaining a manageable cost of funds (CoF).
By the first semester of 2026, green financing increased 19 percent to Rp123 trillion. Financing to the renewable energy (NRE) sector surged 82 percent to Rp7.7 trillion, while electric vehicle loans grew 25 percent to Rp4 trillion.
As of June 2026, the company's asset quality remained strong, with a loan-at-risk (LAR) ratio of 4.9 percent and a non-performing loan (NPL) ratio of 1.9 percent. Non-interest income increased 11 percent annually to Rp13.2 trillion.
