TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bandung-based alternative rock band For Revenge has joined the lineup of contributors for the Spider-Man: Brand New Day soundtrack. Unlike their previous works, the band drew inspiration for the first time from the personal experiences and emotional journey of Peter Parker.
"For us, this is an honor. We never imagined that For Revenge would be given the opportunity to create a piece based on one of the biggest film franchises in the world," For Revenge vocalist Boniex said in an official statement received on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
They also acknowledged having to explore a new perspective while writing the track. "We usually write based on our own experiences, but this time we had to align with what Peter Parker feels in the film. As a Spider-Man fan myself, tapping into Peter's emotional side is a pride," he said.
The track, "I Miss You Every Brand New Day," weaves their signature personal narrative with the dynamic journey of the iconic superhero. The song features guest vocals by Cynantia Pratita, vocal direction by Kamga, and choir backing by Gege Gumilar, Mulia Aprianto, Nadine Arlyanaza, and Luginia Raftiane.
The group confirmed the news on their official social media channels. Six days ago, they posted a video clip on Instagram (@forrevengeofficial) captioned "From 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' movie." Four days later, the "Serana" singer shared a teaser of the music video scheduled for release on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. "I Miss You Every Brand New Day (From 'Spider-Man Brand New Day' Movie)," he wrote.
This collaboration stems from a global joint effort between Sony Pictures and Sony Music to tailor local soundtracks across various international markets. This strategy is also reflected in Marvel’s partnership with Japanese band Mrs. GREEN APPLE for the track "Brand New," which will reportedly feature during the film's end credits in Japan.
Rumors first surfaced when Boniex shared a photo featuring the text "I Miss You Every Brand New Day" on his personal Instagram account. He accompanied the post with a Spider-Man GIF, immediately sparking buzz among fans and Marvel enthusiasts.
Long before Tom Holland stepped into the role of Spider-Man, two Indonesian rock acts had already contributed to the franchise's soundtracks. Rock band /rif was the first, featuring their track "Dunia" on the soundtrack for the 2002 Spider-Man film starring Tobey Maguire.
Two years later, fellow Indonesian band Edane earned a similar spot, contributing "Cry Out" to the Spider-Man 2 (2004) soundtrack.
