TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The international racing event Formula E Jakarta E-Prix 2025 will be held at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) in Ancol on June 21, 2025. The public's enthusiasm to witness this event in person is starting to show.
The Chairperson of the Organizing Committee (OC) of Formula E 2025, Ananda Mikola, stated that they have prepared more than 20 thousand tickets for the audience. Half of that number has already been sold.
"The target is 20,000 (audience tickets). Ten thousand have already been sold," said Ananda while inspecting a replica of the Formula E Gen 3 Evo car at the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout area in Central Jakarta on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
In addition to ticket sales, Ananda also revealed that the technical preparations at the JIEC Circuit are almost complete, with a progress rate of 90 percent. He ensured that the track conditions were in very good shape.
"The circuit preparation is already 90 percent complete because the asphalt quality has been quite good for the past three years. So, only minor adjustments are needed, such as painting some parts. Overall, though, we are ready," he said.
As a note, in the 2023 Formula E event, Jakarta hosted a double header, which took place on June 3 and 4, 2023. At that time, the Round 10 race was held on Saturday with 36 laps, while Round 11 took place on Sunday with 38 laps.
PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) recorded high public enthusiasm for this event. Forty thousand tickets sponsored by the main sponsor of Formula E, Gulavit, were sold out a day before the event in 2023.
Furthermore, the Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, ensured full support for the organization of Formula E 2025. He emphasized Jakarta's readiness to welcome this electric car racing event.
"As I have said many times, we fully support the organization of this Formula E event so that it runs smoothly and successfully," said Pramono while attending the Car Free Day (CFD) at the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout (HI) area on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
