TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) warned residents of Greater Jakarta of the heavy rain potential with thunderstorms this afternoon, Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
The air humidity level in this region has now reached 70-100 percent. The wind, blowing northwest, can reach a maximum speed of 30 kilometers per hour.
Citing the 24-hour weather forecast from BMKG, heavy clouds cover the skies across Greater Jakarta early Tuesday. There is a chance of light rain in certain parts of the Seribu Islands, Jakarta, and Bekasi Regency.
From 07:00 a.m. local time until midday, parts of Jakarta and its surrounding areas remain heavily overcast. There are also some areas with partly cloudy skies.
Light rain will drizzle uniformly across the region towards the afternoon. During the same period, heavy rain is likely to pour over Bogor Regency, Depok City, and Bekasi Regency.
As Tuesday evening approaches at 07:00 p.m., light to heavy rainfall, and even thunderstorms and strong winds, are expected to occur across Greater Jakarta.
According to BMKG, the temperature in Jakarta and surrounding cities is expected to range between 24-28 degrees Celsius throughout the day. Lower temperature is forecast for Bogor, around 20-30 degrees Celsius.
