TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi has confirmed that there have been no talks about a cabinet reshuffle. However, he added that President Prabowo Subianto continues to monitor and review his ministers' performance.
"To this day, there has been no discussion regarding a reshuffle. None at all," Prasetyo said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Central Jakarta on Friday, May 23, 2025.
Prasetyo noted that Prabowo frequently provides feedback to his top-performing subordinates, citing their achievements in securing food self-sufficiency. "Today, food production is abundant, arguably the highest in history. That is an achievement," he said.
Prabowo also oversees several ministers in the energy sector. According to Prasetyo, Prabowo has highlighted the increase in Indonesia's oil lifting, though he did not name the specific ministers.
Furthermore, Prasetyo indicated that Prabowo offers constructive feedback to his subordinates, urging them to concentrate on their work and deliver benefits to society.
Prabowo has also instructed ministers to avoid public communications that could cause disturbances or create discomfort for other parties, institutions, and especially the public.
Nevertheless, Prasetyo clarified that Prabowo would not necessarily conduct a cabinet reshuffle if a minister violates this advice. He explained that inappropriate public statements are not always correlated with poor performance.
