TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the government is preparing mitigatory measures to curb the impact of global escalation on Indonesia.

The police chief conveyed this during a press conference after a cross-sectoral brief at the National Police Headquarters on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. "We have just held a coordination meeting to discuss the issues that we need to anticipate regarding the impact of global escalation on the domestic situation," he said on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

The afternoon meeting took place at the National Police Headquarters at around 4 p.m. local time, attended by cabinet members and a number of state officials.

Tempo's observation at the location noted several officials in attendance, including the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, the Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, the Minister of Manpower Yassierli, representatives from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Chairperson of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Friderica Widyasari Dewi, and a representative from Pertamina.

According to Sigit, the government maintained a general overview that the national economy is currently growing at around 5 percent. Sigit said the Indonesian government is committed to maintaining this trend through various priority programs, including national strategic policies.

Sigit emphasized the importance of cross-sectoral coordination in anticipating potential risks from global dynamics while maintaining the government's program sustainability. "With the overview that we have obtained, we can prepare mitigation for various future issues," he said.

Sigit mentioned that the government still has fairly good resilience to face global pressures, but warned stakeholders to remain vigilant to avoid erosion of progress that has been achieved.

"We have to remain vigilant to maintain governments' achievements," said Sigit.
