GoTo Pledges 2026 Eid Bonus for Driver Partners

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Hans Patuwo, CEO of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GoTo), has confirmed that the company will provide Eid bonuses (BHR) for its driver partners as a stimulus for this year's Eid al-Fitr.

"The BHR scheme will definitely be implemented again this year. We are currently formulating the specifics and the amounts. So, we cannot share [the details] now as it is still under development. Once the information is finalized, we will certainly publish and share it," Hans stated during a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, as reported by Antara.

Hans noted that the company is actively consulting with the government and other relevant stakeholders to finalize the 2026 BHR framework.

GoTo's commitment to providing BHR is one of the four pillars established in the "Bakti GoTo untuk Negeri: Empat Dukungan Nyata untuk Kesejahteraan Mitra" initiative, which was launched on Tuesday.

"For partners with strong performance records, we will provide an Eid bonus, so that our driver community can celebrate the holiday with greater peace of mind and comfort," he remarked.

The initial BHR mandate was introduced via the Minister of Manpower’s Circular Letter (SE) No. M/3/HK.04.00/III/2025 regarding Religious Holiday Bonuses for Drivers and Couriers in Application-Based Transportation Services, issued in March 2025.

Under the previous Circular Letter, bonuses were distributed proportionally based on performance in the form of cash, calculated at 20 percent of the average net monthly income over the preceding 12 months for productive, high-performing drivers and couriers.

Furthermore, the disbursement of BHR adheres to existing regulations, requiring companies to distribute the funds no later than seven days before Eid al-Fitr. Previously, the Ministry of Manpower signaled that the Eid Bonus for online motorcycle taxi (online ojek) drivers would be maintained this year.

"God willing, yes, [it will continue this year]," said Indah Anggoro Putri, Director General of Industrial Relations and Social Security at the Ministry of Manpower, during a meeting at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on January 21, 2026.

Regarding the specific bonus amounts and the regulatory framework for this year, Indah mentioned that these details will be deliberated in the near future.
