TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The weather forecast from the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) again states that parts of Jakarta will be cloudy throughout today, Monday, January 26, 2026. Other areas still have the potential for light rain.

Light rain is predicted for the Seribu Islands, North Jakarta, West Jakarta, and Central Jakarta. Meanwhile, South Jakarta and East Jakarta will be cloudy.

A similar situation is expected in the surrounding areas of Jakarta, which are part of the agglomeration. According to the BMKG, light rain has the potential to only affect Bogor City and Tangerang Regency and City. The rest of the city is expected to be cloudy throughout the day.

Although there is potential for light rain and some areas may even be cloudy, Jakarta and its surrounding areas are still advised to be alert for moderate to heavy rain today. The BMKG issued a "Waspada" (Vigilant) early warning for Jakarta and many other areas, including Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java.

The early warning also revealed that Jakarta's status will be raised again to "Siaga" (Alert) tomorrow for increased 'heavy' to 'very heavy' rain. After the last two days the thick cloud cover and stratiform rain disappeared.
